2010-09-07T00:00:00Hustle Your Bustle on Saturday, October 30thRanch House Run celebrates 150th birthday of historic Ranch House at Teravista <p>When the historic Ranch House at Teravista was completed in Round Rock in 1860, the start of the U.S. Civil War was still a year away, women wore hoop skirts with bustles and men wore top hats.<br /> <br />There won't be any Civil War soldiers present, but there will be a contingent of runners in 1860s costumes to kick off the first annual Ranch House Run on Saturday, October 30, 2010, starting at 7:45 a.m. <br /> <br />Celebrating the 150th birthday of The Ranch House at Teravista, the Ranch House run includes 10k and 5k races for adults and a half-mile Kid's Fun Run for children 12 and younger. Early registration fees range from $10 for the kid's run to $35 for the 10k. Fees are slightly higher after Sept. 30, and all proceeds benefit Teravista Elementary School.<br /> <br />Online registration is now available <a href="http://www.ranchhouserun.org" target="_blank">www.ranchhouserun.org</a><br /> <br />The Ranch House run begins and ends at the Teravista Model Home Village. Post-race festivities including awards, food, refreshments and birthday cake (for The Ranch House) will take place at The Ranch House, located next to the Teravista Golf Club. <br /> <br />Ranch House Run participants are invited to stay for the Teravista Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring hayrides, a pumpkin decorating contest, pony and train rides, and a pie-eating contest.</p>00
