We all love our bluebonnets, but Georgetown also has a special affection for the red poppy, which began to grow wild in the area after a young soldier sent home seeds from Europe during World War I.

Today, red poppies are carefully cultivated across Georgetown, and are the focal point of the Red Poppy Festival, which has become a family friendly tradition throughout Central Texas.

Spring Fling on April 12 has Egg Hunt, Petting Zoo & more

Taking place on Sat., April 12, the Spring Fling is a great example of the active, event-filled lifestyle that Teravista residents enjoy all year long.
This springtime tradition includes an Egg Hunt, complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Kids of all ages will also enjoy a petting zoo, the Kiddie Express Train, Twistee the Clown, face painting, crafts and games.
