Teravista students to attend 3 new Georgetown ISD schools
Thursday, May 15, 2014
The Teravista blogging team went back to school to get the scoop on new Georgetown ISD schools that have recently opened or are coming soon for Teravista residents.
A big “thank you” to GISD for sharing this exciting information with us:
The district will have a ground breaking ceremony on Thursday, May 22nd at 4:00pm for the new K-5 elementary school in Teravista. It will open in August, 2015 on a campus at Teravista Crossing and Scenic Lake Drive, right across from The Club at Wildflower Park. GISD plans to announce the name for the school soon, and of course we’ll have it right here on the blog ASAP.
A new GISD Middle School will open in 2016 near CR 110 and Inner Loop, only minutes from Teravista.
East View High School will say “Congrats!” to its first graduating class later this month. Of the 363 students graduating, 100% have been accepted to college. The class also has two National Merit finalists and seven commended finalists.
By the time the new Middle School opens in 2016, Teravista students living in Georgetown ISD will all attend these three new and recently opened schools all the way from K-12, district officials told us.
We also got a great tour of East View High School and lots of details on the considerable accomplishments already being made by students. Read the full details on our tour of GISD East View High School here.
