Austin’s first Bass Pro Shops opening near Teravista in 2015
Wednesday, September 24, 2014
One of the biggest new additions to Round Rock’s shopping mecca is Bass Pro Shops, which is busy completing its first Austin area store at the Round Rock Premium Outlets mall near Teravista.
Scheduled to open by 2015, the 104,000-square-foot store is located along the I-35 North feeder road, between Williamson County Road and East Chandler Road.
For those not familiar with Bass Pro Shops, the popular store offers much more than fishing, hunting and camping gear. Along with clothes, shoes and home décor, the stores are veritable family attractions, combining retail with entertainment, conservation and outdoor education.
One highlight is the nautical-themed Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill, offering a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and burgers, along with a fun center.
The Round Rock store will also include a 12-lane bowling alley that will offer customers the chance to bowl “in the ocean.” Other highlights include an expansive boat showroom, gift store, nature center, large indoor aquariums, and exhibits celebrating the nation’s outdoor heritage.
When it opens, Bass Pro Shops will be a great addition to other nearby shopping and dining attractions that have recently opened, including a 120,000-square-foot H-E-B market and the region’s first In-N-Out Burgers location.
