Georgetown enters 2019 with new projects on the way

Teravista has been one of the premiere new home communities in Georgetown for many years, earning the Community of the Year Award from the Austin HBA in 2013. With Georgetown topping Southern Living magazine’s reader poll as the South’s No. 1 Best City to Live In, the urgency to find your perfect new home has never been greater as the new home opportunities in Teravista are dwindling.
Georgetown ranks No. 4 on Southern Living’s list of 15 Affordable Small Towns We Love, and No. 12 on the magazine’s list of The South’s Prettiest Cities. Georgetown is also earning national acclaim as a city that runs on 100% renewable energy.
More great shopping is on the way to Georgetown, including Wolf Crossing, a 250,000-square-foot development located at I-35 North and West University Avenue. Wolf Crossing is planned to become a medical, government and retail hub for Georgetown, and the developers eventually plan to add walking trails along the scenic San Gabriel River. Wolf Crossing is located across I-35 from Wolf Ranch Town Center, another major shopping, dining and entertainment destination near Teravista.
Georgetown is celebrating the addition of several new restaurants and parks, including 525-acre Garey Park. Nestled along the South San Gabriel River, this park is primed to become Georgetown’s flagship park, with amenities including a playground, splash pad, dog park fishing ponds, and more than 7 miles of hiking and equestrian trails.
Garey Park and other Georgetown parks are a great complement to the miles of trails, parks and natural open spaces that Teravista residents enjoy right in their community.
